The Clarendon Hall (main hall) will be closed over the Christmas/ New Year period. During this time, we are having the floor refurbished to bring it back to the pristine condition that it deserves.
After Stay and Play on Thursday 21st December, we will clear the Hall of all furniture. Our contractor Floor Sand Solutions (who refurbished the floor at St Barnabas last year) will carry out woodwork repairs, replacing damaged and ill-fitting floorboards and filling the minor gaps with wood straps.
The repaired floor will then be sanded, finishing with 120grit, to give a smooth finish. Three coats of commercial grade varnish will be applied. It will then be allowed to harden until classes resume on the morning of Wednesday 3rd January 2024.
Please do not walk on the floor until then.
