The Reverend Alison Baxter, our curate at St. Nicholas’, has now completed her curacy. For her next appointment ,Bishop Christopher has appointed her to be the new Associate Minister at Rugby, St. Andrew’s Mission Hub, subject to the usual formalities being made.

There are seven mission hubs across the diocese of Coventry. These have been developed as part of a new mission strategy where established churches in the diocese propagate, plant or graft new worshipping communities in the local area. Alison’s work will involve her working with other churches in Rugby, to help them discern and facilitate new areas for missional growth and outreach into the community.

Alison says, although she is excited about her new appointment, she will miss St. Nicholas with St. Barnabas and living in Kenilworth. She would like to thank everyone for the support they have offered her during her curacy.

Alison’s licensing service will be confirmed by Simon Taylor, Archdeacon’s PA shortly, and will be before the end of April which you will all be invited to.

Please pray for Alison and her daughter Carrie as they make this transition, as she also continues to pray for us during the interregnum.

Please also pray for St. Andrew’s as they start this new initiative in the community.
