You can sponsor the Sunday ringing (morning & evening) to celebrate a
birth, special birthday, an anniversary or as a memorial to someone
special. There is no fixed cost for sponsorship, you choose how
much to donate. An appropriate announcement is also put into the
News & Notices Sheet in church for that Sunday along the lines of..."the
ringing today is sponsored by....to celebrate the occasion of...."
Money raised goes to different causes each year, alternating between
funds for our church and an outside charity.
If you wish to sponsor the ringing you can pick up a form from the back of church.
Monies raised from sponsored ringing in 2010 was donated to the
Waverley Day Centre. In 2011 money raised will be used towards a church
project.
The Bell Ringers are always pleased to welcome
visitors to the bell tower on Tuesdays from 7.30pm and are very willing to
introduce this ancient English art to anyone interested.
