  ST BARNABAS GARDEN

4-May

We have been very fortunate over previous years to have had many hard working volunteers taking care of our garden at St Barnabas Church. We are now find ourselves in a situation where new volunteers are needed. The garden is in deperate need of some TLC! Don't worry if you are not an experienced horticulturist; a little pruning and weeding is all that is needed to keep our small garden neat and tidy. If you have 1 or 2 hours to spare, weekly or fortnightly and would like to help, please contact us or speak to Lesley O'Connor. Thank you.

  FIELDGATE TEAS

4-May

We will again be serving teas at "Fieldgate" on June 3rd. This produced a good income for church funds last year. We would appreciate offers of help to serve and donations of cakes to sell. If you are able to help in any way please contact Janet Cherry or Jennifer Higgins. I am also planning to serve church teas in St. Nicholas on the second Sunday each month from May to October. Anyone interested in occasionally helping or baking, please let me know. Janet Cherry

  PORTRAITS OF THE QUEEN

19-Apr

To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, St Barnabas Church is inviting children in Kenilworth aged 11 and under to draw, paint or make a portrait of the Queen for a special Children’s art festival. We will display as many entries as we can at a special art exhibition held at St Barnabas Church on the week beginning Monday 28th May 2012. The best entry in each category will receive a small prize, and a selection of entries (with the entrants’ permission) will be sent to the Queen as a Jubilee gift. The winners will be announced by the Mayor of Kenilworth at the Exhibition Party which will be in St Barnabas Church on Friday 1st June from 3.45-4.30pm. Refreshments provided! The closing date for entries is Wednesday 23rd May. Please return your completed entry with your name, age and contact details to The Revd Kate Massey at 145 Albion Street, Kenilworth.
