Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We’re really excited about our growing children’s work. We’re meeting new families every week and we’re always working on new ways of welcoming them and listening to how we can develop what we already do.
Our children are our leaders of tomorrow (and today) and we can learn so much from them. The stained glass windows of our 12th century church features children prominently, so as a community we do too.
St Nicholas Kenilworth

St Nick’s is committed to the care and nurture of all our members. Keeping children safe is very important to us. That’s why all of our helpers are trained to the new Church of England safeguarding guidelines. For more information click here.

St Nick’s runs groups for all ages of children and young people. (Click here for YOUTH). If you haven’t joined us before you might like to visit our Cafe Sunday gathering on the fourth Sunday of the month in our hall. Here we can let you know what is available. Additionally, come to our Family Praise service in the church building on the second Sunday. We’d love to meet your family.

St Nicholas Kenilworth

Family Praise (all age)

Our 2nd Sunday 10am service is called Family Praise and meets in the Church. Families and children of all ages are welcome to celebrate with us. The 4th Kenilworth Scouts also join us. There’s modern worship and a gathering appropriate for all the family.

Cafe Sunday (all age)

On the 4th Sunday of the month, our 10am gathering is called Cafe Sunday and meets in the Hall for a relaxed hour of fun and great conversation. This is a perfect way for families to get to know new people and be introduced to St Nick’s. There’s a baby area, crafts and a short talk with songs. O and great coffee! Come and see us. Look here for more information.

JaM (up to school yr 6)

On the first and third Sunday mornings, during term time, we run JaM at the same time as the 10am service. Bring your child to the Hall on the High Street, just across from the church. You are then free to go to the Morning Eucharist service and we will bring your child back towards the end of the service. They’ll have fun, play great games and learn about God’s love and promises.

We meet in the Parochial Hall, 28 High Street, Kenilworth. CV8 1LZ.

Notelets Choir (years 1-6)

Notelets is our children’s choir at St Nick’s.  We meet every Thursday from 5.15 to 6.15 in the Lower Vestry at church.  We play games to explore rhythm and melody, sing rounds and chant raps, and learn and enjoy songs new and old.  The choir is open to any child in Year 1 – 6. Notelets is a great way to make friends, learn new skills and have fun making music together.  Get in touch with Mary Houlgate for more information.  Our first meeting this term is September 20.

Starting Sunday 16th September 2018
During our 10am communion service

Pre-School Praise
For our 0-4 yr olds and a carer.

Our youngest children are a sign of not just the church of the future but of the enduring nature of Gods grace which is a precious gift passed from one generation to another. To enable them to develop their baptismal promise in worship to God we are starting Pre-School praise which will involve singing craft and age appropriate activities for the children and their carer.

Pre-school praise will meet in the upper vestry. Leaving communion between the gospel hymn and the peace.
This is not a crèche but age appropriate worship, children should be accompanied by one adult.
