Life in Nepal

Ninety people enjoyed a Nepalese Evening on Saturday 13th March 2010 in the Parochial Hall. The Indian Edge Restaurant in Kenilworth provided a very delicious meal which was followed by a talk given by Heather Alford about her experiences working as a volunteer physiotherapist at a leprosy hospital in Nepal last year.

Heather shared experiences from her time living and working in Nepal during 2009. Heather worked as a volunteer at Anandaban hospital near Kathmandu and used her physiotherapy skills in support of the work of The Leprosy Mission. The evening raised £550 for the Parochial Hall Restoration Appeal and the generosity of those present enabled donations which amounted to £336.75 to be given to the work of The Leprosy Mission.
