"Reaching out for God with love and encouragement"

Welcome to our website

JaM - Jesus and Me

What?

JaM encourages children of primary school age to learn more of the 'Good News' that God loves us, forgives us and wants us to be friends with Him for ever. This is done through a lively syllabus, with fun activities, games, drama, crafts, singing, and Bible teaching.

JAM - Jesus And Me

When?

Each Sunday morning during term time (except the second Sunday in the month when we all meet in church for Family Praise) 10.00am until approximately 11.00am.  The timing of JaM is the same as the morning service so that parents can be in church and enjoy the service.

  JAM - Jesus And Me

Where?

We meet in the Parochial Hall, 28 High Street, Kenilworth. CV8 1LZ.

How do my children get involved?

Please bring your primary school aged children along when we meet, we're sure they’ll enjoy it! The leaders are a group of CRB checked parent volunteers, with a love for children and determined to make JaM and learning about God a fun experience. For more information please contact us.

What have we been doing last term?

  1. We discovered how to be H.O.L.Y. - living God's way from a series of talks Jesus gave called the Beatitudes in the gospel of Matthew 5+6. We can pray anywhere and God really does hear us when we pray. We visited “stations” with visual reminders finding out why not to worry – after all, God provides us with food, drink, clothes and to keep asking as our Heavenly Father cares for us and knows what we need before we ask him/who by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

  2. We found out about an Old Testament prophet called Elisha and how God worked through him.

  3. We had fun at our Pancake Party before half term, making, eating and flipping pancakes! Nearly 40 children beat and stirred pancake mix, cooked pancakes under the watchful eyes of our resident chefs Heather and Andy, whilst there were posters made, races run and even a rap performed!

What can we look forward to this coming term?

  1. We learn about a series of Old Testament Kings named Hezekiah, Mannasseh and Josiah behave towards God and what we can learn from these relationships.

  2. What do being in a potter’s shop, buying a field, burning a scroll and getting thrown down a well have to do with each other? Find out more from the life of the prophet Jeremiah. All will be revealed!

  3. There will be an outdoor Jubilee service on 10th June in Abbey Fields – volunteer actors needed – more details to follow! This will be followed by a picnic and games weather permitting.

Any questions please contact Alicia Sampson (01926 511415). If you want to work with children aged 4-10, are enthusiastic and want to teach the children Bible stories please contact the church office or Alicia Sampson.
