St Nicholas
Instrumental Group aims to add a further, often atmospheric, dimension
to our worship. We play at a number of 'regular' services and a
number of special services.
The music we
play varies depending upon the occasion and time in the Church calendar,
with our repertoire containing a cross section of pieces ranging from
the Standards through to some wonderfully reflective Taize pieces.
The group
comprises piano, cello, clarinet, guitar, keyboard, trumpet, recorder,
flute as well as voices. We really look forward to our rehearsals
on the first Monday of each month, because they are such social
occasions, always good humoured and always good fun.
We are always
looking for new ways to enhance our musical contribution and to make it
more engaging as an integrated part of our Church life, so we are open
to new thoughts and welcome new ideas.
