St Nicholas Hall
St Nicholas Hall has recently undergone a £500,000 refurbishment and is now an excellent community hall facility with lots to offer. St Nicholas Hall has the main hall and meeting rooms shown below, which are available for hire by the hour. If you would like to view the facilities before requesting a booking please email us to make arrangements.

The hall can seat up to 120 people at round tables for dinner or lunch or 150 people theatre style. The room provides an exceptional setting for parties, celebrations, concerts, lectures, activity classes and much more. Hire includes use of the kitchenette and garden.
Dimensions 18.1m x 9.2m, Area 166m2 – Hire Charge £18 per hour for regular users, £22 per hour ad-hoc users.
An attractive meeting room to the front of the building. Twelve people can be comfortably seated around the table, alternatively 20-25 people can be accommodated with the chairs arranged in a theatre style. The use of the kitchenette is included in the hire charge for serving teas and coffees.
Dimensions 5.6m x 4.7m, Area 26m2 – Hire Charge £12 per hour
This is a smaller meeting room with soft furnishing at the rear of the hall. Available for young people’s groups, a break out room or an informal meeting place for anyone wishing to chat in comfortable surroundings.
Dimensions 5.8m x 2.5m, Area 14m2 – Hire Charge £10 per hour
The fully equipped commercial standard kitchen is available for use by our preferred caterers and those with food hygiene training serving those using the hall. The main hall also has a kitchenette with a water boiler, fridge and sink. Use of kitchenette is included free of charge for those hiring the hall.
Dimensions 5.5m x 2.2m, Area 12m2 – Hire Charge £25-50 per booking
The hidden gem of St Nicholas Hall is its large garden. It has a large outside patio and a pleasant lawn surrounded by trees and shrubs. There is also a children’s play area suitable for very young children. The garden is available to use free of charge with bookings for the Clarendon Hall.
Lawn 21.6m x 8.6m, 186m2 – Gravel Patio Area 90m2 – Brick Patio Area 13m2
Use of the Clarendon Hall, Elizabeth Room and main kitchen for large parties and celebrations involving food, alcohol and music.
£50 per hour plus £175 fixed fee for attendance and cleaning plus £250 refundable bond.
You are welcome to bring in cold party food which can be served from either the kitchenette or the main kitchen; functions requiring the use of full kitchen facilities must be catered for by one of the approved suppliers.
Likewise, to comply with Licensing Regulations, alcohol may only be consumed when served by an approved supplier; guests are not permitted to bring their own alcoholic drinks on to the premises. Music can only be played by the approved disco operator or on the hall sound system. Live music may be permitted with prior agreement of the management.
