The first flower arranging workshop to take place in the newly refurbished Parochial Hall took place on Saturday 7th May 2011 and was a great success with about 30 people attending to see Barbara Sheppard demonstrate an all-round arrangement suitable for a special occasion. The arrangement was made to represent the style of a multi-tiered cake.

Barbara's arrangement was presented to Janet Cherry, our outgoing churchwarden in appreciation of everything she has done over the past five years. Pictured above is Barbara presenting Janet with the finished arrangement whilst Janet Lawrence, Chair of the St Nicholas Flower Guild, looks on. Afterwards everyone enjoyed tea, coffee and cake and five ladies inspired by Barbara's demonstration made their own arrangements.
