The next Flower Guild Workshop is on Saturday 1st April commencing at 10.30am in the Parochial Hall. Please come and join us for a morning of Flowers and Friendship when I will be demonstrating an Asymmetrical Design. This is a very useful arrangement particularly if it is to be viewed from one side or if you are doing matching designs on a window sill or platform where arrangements are required at both sides.
It can be made large to go on a pedestal or smaller to go on a table in your home, it can be on a raised pedestal container or on a flat one; it is a very versatile design. If you would like to join in the workshop afterwards the recipe is below. I look forward to seeing you all.
A container of your choice either raised or flat, the size will depend on where you want the arrangement
to go. Foam to fill; this may be purchased from the guild; a selection of foliage, e.g. Pussy Willow or
Phormium Leaves; 3 different types of flowers, with different shapes to give you a good focal line, height, and outline, e.g. iris, tulips and daffodils, roses, freesia, and alstroemeria, the choice is yours.
