  MOTHERING SUNDAY 14 March 2010

Mothering Sunday falls on the fourth Sunday in Lent. Centuries ago people returned to their home or 'mother' church once a year in the middle of Lent. Today it is a day when children give flowers and cards to their mothers. At our 10.00am service the Mothers' Union will be distributing cards and our Brownies will be handing out bunches of daffodils which they have made up for children to give to their mothers. Everyone is welcome.
