Parish Cabaret 2010

We presented our fourth Parish Cabaret on Saturday 24th April. The event was a sell out with the Parochial Hall filled with a one hundred and twenty strong audience. The show comprised sixteen acts and forty people of all ages from our congregations. The evening was a great success and raised money towards the Parochial Hall Restoration Appeal and church funds. The whole show was held together by our very own compere, Mark Draper.

The audience was treated to music, comedy, poetry and mime. There was also audience participation, which included a test of our Old Testament knowledge as 9 scenes were acted out in 5 minutes and singing along with the Ukulele Orchestra of Kenilworth. The whole evening was rounded off with the grand finale which involved special guest Dame Kiri Te Canopener and the whole company singing Land of Hope and Glory with everyone joining with the chorus.

Thanks to everyone who took part to share their talents and to all those who worked hard behind the scenes to make this such an enjoyable and successful event. The cabaret raised £525 which will be split with £210.00 for the Parochial Hall Restoration Appeal, £210 for church funds and £105 for microphones for the worship band at St Nicholas. Thanks to all who took part on and off the stage.
